Account Executive – Software Sales

Accounting Seed is seeking several professional, dynamic Account Executives to drive new business for the company. This role will focus on increasing new business opportunities by expanding the prospect pipeline and closing sales. The ability to interact using a consultative sales approach is critical to this role. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced, engaging, and collaborative environment and possesses a passion for success.

What You’ll Do:

  • Identify and qualify opportunities from marketing generated leads and industry-related activities.
  • Pursue conversions with qualified leads that educate and position the value of Accounting Seed software.
  • Present the complete value proposition via customer virtual meetings and telephone calls.
  • Bring to light stakeholders and their roles within prospective client organizations.
  • Detect individual stakeholder needs and pain points, then demonstrate – where applicable – how Accounting Seed software can solve these issues.
  • Deliver high-level, value-added product demonstrations with business owners and other senior executives.
  • Consult and engage our team of product experts to clarify and properly answer all prospect questions.
  • Identify and resolve prospect objections as they arise.
  • Manage the prospective customer’s complete buying journey.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Ideal candidates should possess B2B sales experience (software sales is a plus)
  • Associate’s Degree. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred
  • Relevant knowledge and experience in cloud computing – accounting, business processes, and Salesforce is a plus
  • Ability to quickly learn new web-based technologies

Developer

The Salesforce Developer will support of our Financial Suite application. The candidate must be a self-starter who has the ability to multitask in a dynamic environment. Possesses the confidence to work independently and with minimal guidance. This is a full-time, on-site position.

What You’ll Do:

  • Programming on Salesforce
  • Providing Tier 3 support
  • Implementing new product features
  • Troubleshooting and debugging code

Skills and Qualifications:

  • BS or MS in Computer Science or appropriate work experience
  • Required Certification: Platform Developer I
  • Experience in Software Development using Object Oriented Programming such as C++, C#, Java.

Accounting Product Consultant

We are the fusion of two disciplines: Information Technology and Accounting. We are looking for a dynamic Accounting Product Consultant to join our growing team. You will be responsible for driving the adoption of our application by new users/customers.

What you’ll do:

  • Become an expert in the use of our cloud-based Accounting and ERP product
  • Coach customers through the process of product adoption
  • Advise and assist with data migration from legacy Accounting solution to Accounting Seed
  • Demonstrate features and functionality to new users
  • Answer user’s questions
  • Advise on best practices in using the product
  • Serve as a subject matter expert to the product development, marketing and technical writing, teams

Skills and Qualifications:

We are in immediate need of an experienced writer/editor to join our sales and marketing department. We’re looking for a copywriter who has a flair for creating value-based content to join our growing marketing team. The successful candidate has the ability to translate technical or complex ideas into concise, business-oriented content/storylines.

What You’ll Do

  • Create, edit, and promote written content, including email, newsletters, blogs, case studies, website pages, social media, video scripts, and news/product releases.
  • Collaborate with members of the product development team to write thought leadership articles.
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency across all written marketing content.
  • Help define a consistent voice and tone for the brand across multiple channels.
  • Work alongside other marketers and content producers to help distribute content that educates and entertains our audience.

Skills and Qualifications:

Partner Relationship Manager

We are in immediate need of a Partner Relationship Manager to join our Sales Team.

What You’ll Do:

  • Drive the adoption of Accounting Seed’s partnership programs including but not limited to:
    • Salesforce System Integration Partners
    • Salesforce Connected Application Partners
  • Drive, manage, and track all inbound partner requests and referrals.
  • Identify and qualify opportunities to expand relationships with current partners and generate/explore relationships with new potential partners
  • Encourage existing partners to increase their program participation and partner level.
  • Manage and track the partner’s journey through orientation, training, certification, and promotion.

Customer Success Associate

We are in immediate need of a Customer Success Associate to join our Product Support Team. The Customer Success Associate will work alongside our Product Consultants to ensure our customers are successful with our product. In this role, responsiveness is essential and you will need strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and a passion for helping customers to be successful.

What You’ll Do:

  • Assist the Product Support team in managing the long-term health of our customer base, identifying areas of risk and ensuring retention
  • Assist our customers in the transition between sales and support during the onboarding process
  • Work with the Product Development team to identify customers wanting to participate as early adopters of our new functionality
  • Follow-up and monitor the progress of our customers as they work to adopt our product
  • Assist the team in ensuring additional license requests are handled quickly and appropriately

Salesforce Technical Architect

Accounting Seed is a rapidly growing accounting software company that sells a leading edge application on the Salesforce.com platform.  We are the fusion of two disciplines: Information Technology and Accounting.

We are in immediate need of a Salesforce Architect.

The Salesforce architect will be responsible for the technical design, development, and code review, of the product feature enhancements to the Accounting Seed application. This person will be actively involved in the design sessions with business analysts, the product owner, and other technical team members, and will be expected to bring technology and people leadership skills to the team. This role will actively lead the design, build solution components, develop unit tests, guide testing strategy and play an active role in ensuring quality through the development lifecycle. You must possess a strong ability to work with our leadership team to balance the business needs with the best technical solutions to fulfill those needs. You’ll make an impact by researching, analyzing, designing, proposing, and delivering solutions that are appropriate for the business and technology strategies, and it will be imperative that you are staying well versed in the ever-changing technology stack of the Salesforce platform.

What You’ll Do:

  • Directly accountable for the conversion of product requirements into an architecture and design that will become the blueprint for the solution being created.
  • Work as part of an agile product development team responsible for the timely execution of assigned tasks, and leverage experience to promote process improvement.
  • Lead conceptual and technical solution design for assigned features improvements to meet business requirements while ensuring compliance with established architectural principles, standards, and processes.
  • Work closely with the CTO to set the high-level technology strategy for Accounting Seed.
  • Understand and apply application architecture standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Develop technical artifacts that will support both the development and quality assurance team and Accounting Seed’s customers and partners.
  • Monitor and approve configuration, solution architecture, development, and quality assurance aspects of the features.
  • Stay up-to-date on Salesforce’s latest offerings and explore beta/pilot functionality if relevant
  • Provide thought leadership in technical areas of expertise to promote the best of breed culture in application development

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
  • 10+ years of experience in technical leadership and/or technology consulting on large enterprise projects around applications architecture, and/or technical lead for a third-party application development team.
  • 5 + years of Salesforce development experience along with Salesforce.com Certifications (3 or more) including Communities and Lightning
  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce.com architecture components – sales, service, and marketing clouds
  • Ability to define and communicate the “big picture” in terms of the solution (both functional and technical components) and break it down into smaller manageable work units
  • Data modeling skills

QA Automation Engineer

The growing entrepreneurial team at Accounting Seed, Inc. in Columbia, MD has an exciting opportunity for a seasoned QA Automation Engineer.

We are looking for a results-oriented, self-motivated QA Automation Engineer who has the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and be responsible for performing a variety of QA engineering tasks including the design and development of test automation frameworks, coding and executing automated test scripts and web application testing and performance testing. The successful candidate will quickly learn the Accounting Seed product and our release management cycle. This will provide an excellent foundation to begin contributing to the ongoing development of functional tests for the Accounting Seed Financial Suite and Orders & Inventory products. This role requires collaboration with a cross-functional team of Product Managers and other stakeholders to understand the business/product requirements and facilitate the design and development of test automation.

What You’ll Do:

  • Build, recommend and maintain appropriate frameworks to automate test scenarios.
  • Convert manual regression scenarios to automated test cases.
  • Ensure that automated tests are integrated and execute reliably in the CI/CD environments.
  • Work as a member of an Agile SCRUM team delivering high-quality software.
  • Collaborate with product owners to understand requirements, new features and resolve issues.
  • Contribute to the success of the Scrum team through active and collaborative participation in sprint planning, daily scrums, and sprint retrospectives.
  • Develop an in-depth level of knowledge of the scrum team’s supported products.
  • Document software issues and enhancement requests and assist development with concise and detailed steps for duplication of the defects found while performing manual functional, integration, and regression tests.
  • Contribute towards team estimation and scheduling process.
  • Participate in code reviews.
  • Help diagnose, reproduce and test fixes.
  • Troubleshoot, stabilize and optimize the existing daily QA automation jobs.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Well versed with testing concepts, methodologies, hands-on experience in test design, test execution, test reporting in an agile environment.
  • Able to review the user stories, acceptance criteria, design BDD test scenarios, test cases.
  • Experience with Test Automation of Web Applications using Selenium (Node.js) and Cucumber (Gherkin).
  • Experience with integrating QA automation as part of a Continuous Integration (CI) process using Jenkins or similar tools.
  • Experience working with relational databases and working knowledge of SQL.
  • Practical experience using source code control systems, especially Git.
  • Hands on experience in IntelliJ IDEA or Eclipse IDE, Ant, Maven or any other building tool.
  • Experience working in Unix/Linux environments.
  • Understanding of object-oriented design principles and the Page Object Model.
  • Experience with service-based testing of RESTful APIs.
  • Familiarity with working in an Agile / Lean environment.
