Transporting The Way They Run Their Business
Whether you operate an 18-wheeler or manage an entire fleet, Demountable Concepts is your source for trucking and transportation equipment. Along with being a leading North American manufacturer of demountable truck body systems, their business has grown to include divisions specializing in fleet repair and the manufacturing of glass carrying racks.
Prior to using Accounting Seed, Demountable Concepts managed their everyday accounting workflows on Sage Quantum (formerly known as Peachtree). They also utilized separate software systems for both their CRM and manufacturing. As a result of having separate stand-alone systems for both accounting and manufacturing tasks, the data within each application was siloed by respective departments. This also meant that each department’s accessibility to relevant basic accounting data was limited. For example, neither sales nor the shop floor could accurately review in real-time materials available in inventory or sales orders.
After switching to Salesforce, Demountable Concepts knew they needed a new back office solution native to the Force.com platform. The new accounting and order management application also needed to share the same user interface as Salesforce and provide similar customization capabilities. Before long, Demountable Concepts selected Accounting Seed because it not only is highly customizable but also a 100% native Salesforce Accounting and Order Management solution.
Since moving to Accounting Seed, their time demands for reporting data has significantly reduced.
“Reporting in Accounting Seed has been a big time saver,” said David Fisher, Vice President at Demountable Concepts. “We now can create reports on the fly.”
Also, the entire organization is now able to achieve a 360-degree view of their business. Both the Sales department and the shop floor are at ease knowing they can check inventory and review the status of a Sales Order at any stage anytime during the customer process.
